Château de Najac is a rectangular fortress atop a hill within a loop of the Aveyron River in southern France. The castle played a role in the Albigensian Crusade, the Hundred Years War, and the French Revolution. The fortification began as a square tower built in 1100 and was expanded in 1253. The castle consists of a rectangular inner bailey with the original square tower in the southwest corner and large round donjon in the southeast. The gate is protected by a barbican. |
My reconstruction of Château de Najac is 35 inches long, 22 1/2 inches wide (112 x 72 studs) and is about 22 inches high. For more photos of my reconstruction of Château de Najac
