Pembridge Castle was begun in the late 12th Century and is located in Herefordshire less than a mile from the Welsh border. The castle is rectangular enclosure surrounded by a moat. A round keep tower in the northwest corner, a fortified gatehouse, and two towers guard the castle, which also includes a great hall and a chapel. Pembridge Castle was damaged in 1646 during the Civil War and heavily restored in the early 20th Century. |
I have speculated as to the original appearance of the castle and its interior buildings. My reconstruction of Pembridge Castle is 25 x 40 inches (80 x 128 studs) and is about 12 inches high. For more photos of my reconstruction of Pembridge
