Ox Cart Title

For pulling and hauling, oxen were used more often than horses during most of the middle ages. Simple two wheeled carts pulled by teams of oxen would be common on even the smallest of farms.

Ox carts were used for hauling stone and wood for construction projects; bringing grain, hay, and vegetables to the barns during harvest; and for taking produce and trade goods to market.
